I am an Associate Professor (Teaching) and the Director of Undergraduate Development and Mentoring in the Department of Economics at the University of Southern California (USC).  

A core part of my professional mission is shaping a supportive and rigorous academic experience for our students. Alongside my classroom teaching, I serve as the faculty advisor for Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) and as a mentor for the Association for Mentoring and Inclusion in Economics (AMIE). For my commitment to student growth, I was honored to receive the USC Mentoring Award for Faculty Mentoring Undergraduate Students for the 2024–2025 academic year.  

My academic expertise bridges microeconomics, the economics of innovation, and telecommunications policy. My work investigates the economics of cloud computing, spectrum management regimes, and the regional economic impacts of catastrophic events.  Prior to my current appointment, I served as a Scholar in Residence at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, where I helped build the Media, Economics and Entrepreneurship (M2E) program. My background also includes roles as a Research Associate at the USC Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events (CREATE) and as a Google Policy Fellow at the New America Foundation in Washington, D.C..  

Beyond the classroom, I am currently authoring an intermediate microeconomics textbook and a mathematics primer designed to help incoming undergraduate students master foundational concepts.
